This was my first time visiting and my first time being in a no-bathing suit facility and honestly, my new fave way of sauna-ing. The views from the sauna's add to the peace/experience. As I sat and absorbed I watched ducks swim and follow the leader. Beautiful. I can't speak nor understand Swedish but it was a very uplifting and joyful space with the other woman speaking and enjoying their time in the sauna together.
We went in December which made for a nice cold-hot therapy session. Your skin will burn when submerging yourself in the sea but it feels very electrifying. The Moorish architecture was also a treat to admire and they have pieces of history/pictures inside the building for you to look at. The whole neighbourhood kind of feels like you're walking into a set for a Wes Anderson film. They have coffee, sandwiches, and treats in the reception area for you to have in between or after your session. Will be back again.
Nice and I think more about teaditions. Could use some renovation. Overrall good experience, only minus is tuhat could not throw water on the heater
Varberg pleasantly surprised me, a very beautiful little town with beautiful spas and a large fortress
75kr per adult. It's probably the most beautiful Kallbadhus in Sweden with its Moorish style. Two things that I find extremely unfortunate about this sauna are: the lack of a mixed area, and that it's a "dry sauna". If you're a couple or …
Nice and cosy cold bath. The style is moorish, which is far from Scandinavian. Also caters a small cafe. A given destination when visiting Varberg.
Rating this only as sightseeing, as we didn't actually visit the place inside.
We just took a lunch / walk break here in lovely Varberg. There was some runners …
Nice place to visit for summer .
I have only been outside, but the exterior itself is well worth a visit to Varberg. It's a very nice example of the eastern inspired sweedish architecture of the era. You'll find it has some interesting similarities with other summer retreats of the southern baltics, like the Peterhof in St Petersburg.
You can see the wonderful sunset.
Nice place for a sauna + cold bath. Amazing view on the water! Prices could be more moderate.
